Our 990 kW industrial natural gas boiler falls below the 1 MW nominal thermal power threshold and is therefore exempt from the MCPD (Medium Combustion Plant Directive, Directive (EU) 2015/2193), which only applies to plants equal to or greater than 1 MW.
This means the system is not classified as a “medium combustion plant” and, in the Lombardy Region, it is considered a low-relevance plant, not subject to specific environmental authorization for atmospheric emissions.

This exemption significantly simplifies administrative procedures and reduces installation costs, while still ensuring full compliance with current regulations. Furthermore, the boiler is equipped as standard with a Low NOx burner, ensuring extremely low nitrogen oxide emissions, well below even the strictest regional limits. As a result, the end user can operate with complete peace of mind, knowing they are compliant with the law without having to undergo costly adjustments or additional inspections.

In the coil model, there is also another key regulatory advantage: exemption from the requirement for a licensed boiler operator. Thanks to its very low water content, the pressure × volume product (PS × V) is below 3000 (bar × liters), and the maximum pressure is 11.76 bar, complying with the criteria of Annex III of Ministerial Decree 7 August 2020 n.94.
Consequently, this generator falls into the category of boilers exempt from continuous operation under licensed personnel, while still requiring oversight by an adult staff member properly trained according to law. In practice, the system can run safely without a dedicated licensed operator, reducing operating costs for the end user and simplifying daily management.

For fire-tube boilers, where a licensed operator is mandatory, a 72-hour automation kit is available, allowing the system to operate continuously in self-control mode for up to three days, maximizing management flexibility without continuous supervision.

Safety and ease of maintenance were top priorities in the design. The generator is equipped with an advanced control panel (IP55 protection class, 24V commands) that automatically manages all regulation, monitoring, and safety functions: sequenced ignition and shutdown, modulating flame control, feed pump management, certified safety valves, level and pressure controls, visual/acoustic alarms, and automatic shutdown in case of anomalies.

The triple safety system (dual thermostat and safety pressure switch, calibrated safety valve) prevents overpressure or overheating, protecting both operators and equipment. Maintenance is quick and straightforward thanks to full accessibility: the hinged front door and removable flanged rear cap allow easy inspection and cleaning of the furnace and coil. All main components (burner, pumps, valves) are externally accessible, simplifying periodic checks and minimizing downtime.

Long-term reliability is ensured by robust construction and the simplicity of the coil circuit, which minimizes localized fouling: continuous water circulation reduces deposits, and if needed, the coil can be cleaned or replaced modularly at limited cost.

An optional PLC control system with remote monitoring (Industry 4.0) is also available, enabling full integration of the boiler into factory management systems and supervision from remote locations, further enhancing control and optimizing performance.
